Key Responsibilities: As a Proofreader at PHX Creative, you will:

  • Carefully cross-check point-of-purchase and packaging layouts for accuracy in offers and legal content, verifying against reference materials to ensure clarity and correctness.
  • Review design and content across multiple rounds of edits, ensuring consistency and brand integrity in every detail.
  • Proofread and edit grammar, punctuation, and syntax for presentations, medium-format content, and other marketing collateral, supporting readability and consumer appeal.
  • Assess layouts with a focus on campaign, product, and brand consistency, providing feedback from both written and visual perspectives.
  • Offer editorial insights on select projects, suggesting adjustments for clarity and effectiveness.
  • Restructure and rephrase content as needed to align with PHX Creative’s standards for precise, engaging communication at the point of purchase.

Qualifications: You're a great fit for this position if you have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, English, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in an agency, shopper marketing, or in-house setting, or proven equivalent experience.
  • Strong writing and language skills, with an exceptional eye for detail.
  • Comfort and proficiency in a digital proofreading environment.
  • A resourceful approach to researching and verifying content details, including legal and offer specifics.
  • The ability to manage a high volume of work and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting.

Graphic Designer

PHX Creative is growing as one of the nation’s most agile shopper-marketing and retail-focused creative agencies. We are looking to add talented graphic designers to our team to support our roster of nationally known brands such as 7-Eleven, Anheuser-Busch, OREO, Sour Patch Kids, Clairol, Mentos, Airheads, and many more. At PHX, our Graphic Designers develop a broad range of high-impact point-of-sale, retail collateral, and shopper marketing assets across print and digital channels. This is a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment where our designers work with precision, creativity, and a deep understanding of our client’s brands.

Key Responsibilities: As a Graphic Designer at PHX Creative, your primary focus will be on extrapolating established designs to fit various specifications and display formats, ensuring brand consistency and visual impact across multiple applications. Occasionally, you’ll also have the opportunity to develop original design solutions tailored to unique project needs. Responsibilities include:

  • Working with approved creative concepts to produce cohesive, alternate versions across a variety of specs and dimensions for in-store displays and other retail formats.
  • Applying edits and adjustments promptly to align with client feedback and ensure accurate final output.
  • Performing high-quality retouching, color correction, and background clipping on images, optimizing visuals for production standards.
  • Transforming flat designs into three-dimensional mockups to provide clients with realistic representations of in-store displays.
  • Assembling digital compositions and adapting artwork to showcase products effectively within different store environments.
  • Verifying that all layouts meet brand standards and guidelines before final delivery.
  • Preparing finalized assets for multiple outputs, including print, web, and mobile.
  • Managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail and technical accuracy.

Qualifications: You're a great fit for this position if you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in design (preferred, but not required if experience aligns).
  • 5+ years of experience in an agency or in-house setting, ideally within a fast-paced, retail-focused environment.
  • Strong typography and layout skills, with a portfolio showcasing well-structured designs and an understanding of hierarchy, calls-to-action, and brand consistency.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
  • A desire to continually grow your skills and learn new technologies.
  • HTML-5 experience (a plus).
  • Working knowledge of commercial printing processes and how these influence file preparation.
  • Strong organizational skills with acute attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the preparation, development, and execution of comprehensive in-store programs, crafting overarching strategies that drive brand visibility and sales growth.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, overseeing day-to-day interactions, including receiving project briefs, managing budgets, coordinating timelines, managing status calls, and forecasting future needs.
  • Direct and coordinate the design, production, and completion of creative projects aimed at enhancing shoppers' product discovery, communicating enticing incentives, and elevating brand visibility within retail environments.
  • Provide strategic leadership to team members supporting the account, fostering collaboration, and ensuring alignment with client objectives.
  • Manage a diverse range of individual assets, including signs, decals, window clings, displays, etc., overseeing multiple rounds of revisions, providing timely updates to clients, and ensuring adherence to brand standards.
  • Facilitate billing processes with meticulous attention to detail and a deep understanding of operational protocols.

Skills:

  • Experience in marketing and advertising, particularly within the shopper marketing or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industries, is highly advantageous.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a rapid learner, capable of quickly grasping complex concepts and adapting to evolving client needs.
  • Proven track record of cultivating and growing client relationships, with a focus on expanding existing account scopes and identifying opportunities for account growth.

Requirements:

  • Graphic designers are not suitable candidates for this role; instead, individuals with a strong background in account management are preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing client communications and relationships within a marketing, advertising, or related field.
  • Ideal candidates exhibit a proactive attitude and a strong desire to drive results, contributing to the overall success and growth of the agency's client portfolio.
